Join Stacey Salgado of the NYS Department of Labor for a presentation on Fostering Access, Rights, and Equity (FARE) for women workers. The federal FARE Grant aims to empower women with knowledge on their employment rights and benefits. During this presentation, we will explore a variety of topics around working and getting paid, certain leaves and benefits available, your rights & protections, and where to turn if faced with certain issues.
This is a program sponsored by the Glens Falls NAACP. It will be held at the Crandall Library Holden room on November, 8, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Registration is not required, but seating is limited to 15 people.
Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper
The Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper on view JAN 28, 2023 – APR 23, 2023. This exhibition presents major names in the history of art including Romare Bearden, Robert Blackburn, Margaret Burroughs, Elizabeth Catlett, Robert Colescott, Aaron Douglas, William H. Johnson, Jacob Lawrence, Henry Ossawa Tanner, and other outstanding African American artists from the Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of San Antonio, Texas. The late art historian David Driskell, Professor at the University of Maryland at College Park, called the Kelley Collection “one of the finest that has been assembled tracing the history of African American art.”
