The Glens Falls Branch of the NAACP will be celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday on Sunday January 19, 2025. There will be a march from Glens Falls City Hall on Ridge Street to Christ Church United Methodist Church at 52 Bay Street where there will be a program celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s life and legacy.
Those wishing to march should meet inside Glens Falls City Hall at 3:00-3:15 pm. There will be celebratory speeches inside city hall, then everyone will gather outside to march to Christ Church United Methodist Church where the celebration will begin at 4:00pm.
SARATOGA:
There will be celebrations of Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday in Saratoga from Friday January 17th thru Monday January 20th. Please see details by clicking the following link: mlksaratoga.org

COLLEGE APPLICATION FEES WAIVED
For First Time, SUNY, CUNY, and More Than 40 Private Colleges and Universities Are Banding Together to Waive Application Fees During College Application Month!
Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that over 130 colleges and universities throughout New York State will have free college application opportunities for high school seniors during the month of October. This is the first time that SUNY, CUNY, and New York’s private institutions have joined together to waive application fees for students applying during New York State College Application Month.
